Sharow International Photography Competition 2011
Warrior
Prizewinner - Hannah Ustun Y13
Hannah is one of the best art students of her year and she has
topped off her outstanding A level art performance during the last two years
with a commended prize in the Sharow International Photography Competition.
She created a series of photographs of her friends wearing vintage costumes to inform her A level Journal Project and ‘Warrior’ was one of the most powerful. Hannah captured her friend looking directly at the viewer with blazing light streaking over the shoulder, burning into the face for dramatic effect.
The photograph was entered into the competition along with other students’ work and this one was strong enough to win the prize.
